    Richard started his career with the Big 8 accounting firms of DH&S and KPMG. After 8 years in public accounting, he transitioned to Corporate Controller and then CFO for both privately held and publicly traded international corporations. Richard began working with companies in financial distress in 1999 when he took over as CEO of a struggling international machinery manufacturer. Richard managed the business through the largest bankruptcy filing in Western New York history and negotiated a consensual reorganization plan after heated secured creditor negotiations with CIT and HSBC. In 2003, Richard founded Wilshire Partners to help other companies with financial difficulties to avoid or, if necessary, navigate the complexities of Chapter 11. Richard has been appointed as a Chapter 11 Trustee at the request of the US Department of Justice in multiple bankruptcy cases in Western New York and Los Angeles. In 2015 Richard was appointed as the Chapter 11 Trustee for a mega-church where he negotiated a consensual restructuring that was also the largest bankruptcy case in the Central California District. Most recently, Richard has been engaged as the CRO or Financial Advisor for automobile dealerships and real estate businesses with the express purpose of keeping the struggling business out of bankruptcy via creditor negotiations and financial restructuring.

    Richard has served as CRO, Interim CEO, Chapter 11 Trustee, Provisional Director and Financial Advisor in a wide variety of industries. In each engagement, Richard rolls up his sleeves and works directly, face to face, with all the critical parties involved. Richard’s style, experience and expertise consistently leads to favorable outcomes under adverse conditions.

    Additionally, Richard is an owner of a chain of hair salons in upstate New York. As a business owner himself, Richard understands the issues and struggles of business owners and can provide practical guidance that is unique among financial advisors. Richard holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and is has been a CPA since 1984.

    Amy started her career at a Big 8 accounting firm, way back when there were eight. She then transitioned to private industry where she gained corporate accounting, financial reporting and management experience. After stepping back to raise two sons, she joined Wilshire Partners in 2010.

    Amy is in charge of the day-to-day operations of Wilshire Partners. She steps in concurrently as interim controller for clients during the restructuring process and she prepares the mandatory financial reporting to the US trustee for clients in chapter 11. Amy also provides full accounting/bookkeeping services for distressed companies.

    Amy earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration, Option in Accounting from California State University at Northridge and is a California CPA.
